Silver Plum was founded by a mother, Regina Smithson, and her daughter, Cynthia S. Shelden. It was founded in the year 2000 after they had put together their creative minds to make unique decorative handbags. As they started carrying their bags they received more and more attention and requests from all their friends. The demand kept on, so then began the dream of Silver Plum.

Regina, the expert seamstress, feverishly produced these beautiful bags while Cynthia, the business minded designer, created a system of production that has exceeded even their expectations. Together this mother/daughter duo has brought their design talents to a viable business that prides itself on making hand crafted products in the USA.

Silver Plum has two collections to choose from. The Silk Collection handbag is as unique as its owner, beautiful inside and out. The individualism of each bag allows for any person to have one like no other. This is accomplished through consistently changing fabrics, inside and out. The Tapestry Collection provides a lower price point without compromising the unique Silver Plum style.

The Silk Collection is available in six different color combinations. Some of the finest silks compose the artwork on the Silk Collection.
